RENTAL POLICIES

We hope that the following information will respond to any questions or concerns you may have when considering a stay at Casa Bianca:

 

We ask all renters to sign a rental agreement (click here for a sample copy). Your reservation is confirmed when we receive your signed rental agreement along with payment of half the total rental amount.

 

The second half of the rental total plus a $250 refundable “good care” deposit is due approximately 30 days before your occupancy date.

 

For short-notice rentals, when there isn’t enough time for a personal check to clear our bank, we need to have full payment in the form of a U.S. Postal Service money order, bank check, or cash, or we can accept payment via Paypal. You can pay with a credit card without having a Paypal account. Please contact us if you have questions about this and we will be happy to assist you.

 

Many prospective renters have asked why we don’t take credit cards. Well, the reason is that we are a small family operation, not a hotel. We do not accept credit cards because the associated costs make accepting credit cards economically unfeasible for us. We want to provide you with a beautiful accommodation at an affordable price, and that’s one way we keep prices low.

 

Another frequently asked question is why we cash your check for the ”good care” deposit. We cash the check to make sure that we have some degree of protection against damage that may be caused, inadvertently or not, by a guest. We return the deposit promptly (normally within 10 days) after you have vacated the premises in acceptable condition.

 

Here’s our cancellation policy:

 

If (90) ninety or more days notice is received, 10% of the rental amount shall be retained. If there is less than (90) ninety days notice, 20% of the rental amount shall be retained ONLY if the unit is subsequently rented. If we cannot rent the unit, we shall retain all rent monies paid, not including the ”good care” deposit. (We recommend that you purchase trip insurance if cancellation is a possibility.) Cancellation is not permitted after the occupancy date. For reservations between 12/15 and 1/07, all deposits are non-refundable with no exceptions. Notice must be received in writing by certified, return receipt mail.

 

We are registered and bonded with the Puerto Rico Tourism Company and run a legal operation, collecting and remitting the required Puerto Rico lodging tax.

 

We are also members of the Tourism Association of Rincon.
